“But just as you excel in everything – in faith, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us – see that you also excel in the grace of giving.” – 2 Corinthians 8:7
Why do we give?
God set the ultimate example on how to give by the sacrificial giving of His very own Son (Eph. 5:2).
Because every good and perfect gift comes from the Lord, everything a believer has ultimately belongs to Him. Our giving, whether it is time, service, or money, is both an act of stewardship and an act of worship: Stewardship because we are to be wise managers of what He has given to us. Worship because we give to demonstrate His priority in our life.
We are pleased to offer several convenient giving options for our family. Consider taking advantage of these giving options as you tithe and contribute to the ministry of Kent City Baptist Church.
For your convenience, offering envelopes are available at the Welcome Center. You can make donations to the General, Building & Debt Retirement, and Benevolent Funds. Simply place cash or checks (payable to Kent City Baptist Church) in one of these envelopes and put it in the offering plate during any Sunday service. Indicate on the envelope to which Fund the gift should be designated.
If you would like an end of year tax receipt, please add your name and address to the envelope the first few times you use them.
We are pleased to offer online giving at KCBC. While this has many advantages, we want each person who chooses this option to do so in a God-honoring way. Proverbs 22:7 says, “the borrower is a servant to the lender” and credit cards can cause many people to struggle financially. While they are permitted through our online pay system, we strongly discourage the use of credit cards on our site. However, we do encourage the use of Debit cards for online giving.
